Abstract

Of the 14 genera of alpine and subalpine leguminous grasses of the North Caucasian and Carpathian plateaus of Chernogora, 6 or 43% are common to both mountain systems, and 9 or 16% of 56 species. At the same time, 45 species of legumes grow in the Caucasus, and 20 in the Carpathians. The most important indicators of productivity and nutritional value of species promising for introduction into production are considered.
