Abstract

The results of researches (2013—2016) on the manifestation of heterosis effects and inheritance of the traits of feed and seed productivity in 37 hybrid populations (F3) produced with the use of the samples of Medicago sativa and Medicago x varia of different ecological and geographical origin on the natural soil background with increased acidity (pH 5.2—5.3) are presented. Alfalfa hybrid material with relatively high feed and seed productivity is selected and proposed for use in the breeding process, namely, Mega/Grilys, Zhydrune/Vika, Regina/Yaroslavna, Grilys/Mega, Grilys/Yaroslavna.
