Abstract

Soil tillage is a key element in the farming system, which determines the intensity and direction of microbiological processes. Quantitative composition and the ratio of major agronomically important groups of microorganisms and their activity allow us to estimate the activity of microbiological processes and biological condition of the soil as a whole. Therefore, the aim of research was to estimate microbiological status of typical chernozem of the left-bank Forest-Steppe of Ukraine under the influence of various soil tillage practices. Our research has found that under the influence of mechanical tillage of various intensity there takes place reorganization in the structure and functioning of the microbial complex of typical chernozem. The tendency of clear differentiation of typical chernozem biogenesis in the root zone and inter-rows during the whole vegetation season is determined. Zero tillage of typical chernozem improves biological condition that indicates formation of the best conditions for the growth and development of crops and intensification of metabolism in agroecosystems.
