Abstract

Genetic recombination has a crucial practical importance for breeding as it provides creation of organisms with new combined features through recombination of genes by hybridization. Genetic recombination is the basis of breeding, hybridization remains the decisive method of breeding new varieties of spring barley. Like hybridization, experimental mutagenesis is also a promising method for breeding new varieties.
