Abstract

Results of 50-year researches of the soybean role as a strategic crop of the world agriculture in solving food problem, changes in the location of its sowings on the continents are considered. Growth of soybean production, its share in protein and oil production and volume of biological fixation of the atmosphere nitrogen among grain-legume crops are shown.
