Sources of soybean adaptability to unfavourable environmental factors are identified. New soybean variety Anthracite is bred. Data on economically valuable traits and seed production of this variety is given. New high-yielding soybean variety Anthracite is included into the State Register of Plant Varieties of Ukraine. Anthracite is characterized by its resistance to diseases, pests, and lodging. When ripening, seed pods do not crack.
